Join the ABMA Emerging Leaders for an hour of virtual fun during our year end Holiday party! Service, connection, networking, fun and ... really ugly sweaters!

For this event we invite you to be prepared with the following:

  1. An ugly sweater! And of course you will be wearing it!
  2. An account of what it was that you did to give back, pay it forward or serve others in a way that you choose.

For this Holiday Happy Hour event we want to invite you to spend a moment and reflect on a way that you can give back, pay it forward or serve in some way that you feel will make a difference in the lives of others. And then we ask you act on theat reflection and go out and serve your community in the way of your choosing. During the One Happy Hour of Really Ugly Sweaters we will be sharing our acts of service and giving with each other to brighten the holiday spirit of the season. Some ideas might include but are certainly not limited to:

  • Volunteering in a soup kitchen for a few hours
  • Dropping some toys off to an orphanage
  • Picking up trash at your local park
  • Participating in a food drive
  • Donating to your favorite charity
  • Or anything else you can think of, the sky is the limit!

Join in the fun; share in the season and perhaps win a prize!

A Leadership Group for Young Professionals in the Brush Industry

The American Brush Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is excited to announce the creation of ABMA EMERGING LEADERS, a peer networking and leadership group whose aim is to connect young industry professionals to further develop their interests, expertise and leadership in the industry.

This group is open to anyone 45 years old or younger who is actively engaged within the broom, brush, roller, mop, paint industry, whose organization is an ABMA member.

This group will offer professional development workshops, seminars, webinars, and complimentary networking events and opportunities.

Mentorship: The program will offer opportunities for industry professionals over the age of 45 to engage and develop young talent

Community Service: This group will partner with local charities and the ABMA Foundation to provide community services as identified by the ABMA Emerging Leaders Board.

No separate membership fee is required to participate in ABMA Emerging Leaders.

If you are a young professional in our industry:

Be a part of a great peer group leadership opportunity.
Ramp up your understanding of the industry and all of its uniqueness.
Engage with others in a friendly, educational and supportive setting.

If you are a business owner or senior leader in your organization:

Encourage participation to best develop and retain your top talent.

ABMA Emerging Leaders is for the employees of ABMA member organizations.

To offer an outlet to young industry members for professional development, niche networking, peer and roundtable exchange in a social setting.


  • One in person event per year as a part of the ABMA Annual Convention

  • At least two additional virtual or in person events annually

  • The ABMA Emerging Leaders Board shall meet twice per year


  • Networking

  • Community Engagement/Volunteering

  • Professional Development

  • Industry Confidence and Comfort/Social Development

Governance and Board*

The initial Board shall be three: President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer. Terms will be for 2 years.

By Laws*

Draft By Laws are provided in Appendix A; to be reviewed, edited and approved by the newly installed Board.


The group's Board will be responsible for submitting an annual budget to the ABMA Board of Directors for approval by Sep 1 of any calendar year for the following calendar year.
