----Mill Rose Clean Fit 162w

Mentor, OH —June 29th, 1946 was a special day for brush industry veterans Paul Miller and Nate Zapolla from The Mill-Rose Company, as both of gentlemen were born on that day.  “We have shared the same birthday and a lot of interesting experiences over the past 71 years,” said Paul Miller, President of The Mill-Rose Company.

Paul and Nate first met back in 5th grade at St. Ann’s Elementary School in Cleveland ----Mill Rose Paul Nate 070617.jpg Heights, Ohio.  “I remember the first word I ever heard Paul Miller say was “bullsh-t,” said Nate Zapolla, New Product Development Manager at Mill-Rose.  “I was a new student and told the girl sitting in front of me that my birthday was June 29th.  Paul overheard me and couldn’t believe we were born on the same day,” added Nate.

Paul and Nate have been good friends since they met on that day 61 years ago.  They have a lot of shared history having gone to school together. After high school Paul Miller attended Ohio University and entered the family business at Mill-Rose after graduation.

Nate went to Kent State University after high school and joined the army after his junior year serving as a combat medic, and then  continued his service in the National Guard. He re-established contact with Paul and rented an apartment in Cleveland Heights with five other friends for $10/month.

Nate joined The Mill-Rose Company in 2,000 and oversees new product development.  “We see each other on a daily business,” said Paul, while Nate noted “Now I get to hear Paul say ‘bullsh-t’ on a regular basis.”

Kidding aside, there has been a great friendship between these gentlemen throughout the years.  They work together, play together (golfing and slumming), and often eat together at lunch and occasional dinner outings.
