Zahoransky Adds Additional Photovoltaic 300 Megawatt Capacity
Mon October 9, 2017
ZAHORANSKY continues to be committed to the supply of sustainable energy – 300 megawatt yearly capacity through additional photovoltaic systems.
After the photovoltaic systems for the production plants in Spain and India which were installed already in 2008 and 2013, the manufacturer of injection molds, machines and units as well as automated solutions, is expanding its sustainable concept for energy supply by a further 200 MWh per year.
A total of around 300 MWh per year will be generated from solar energy that will be used for almost the complete energy consumption. Together with the low energy hall for the production facility in Thüringen and the ecological industrial buildings for the plant in Coimbatore in southern India, the traditional company with its headquarters in the Black Forest, continues to be consistent in ecological management. This is also in line with the fact that the solar powered generation comes one hundred percent from hydropower. ZAHORANSKY thus produces about 2000t less carbon dioxide.
