ABMA Adds Extra Layer of Security After Bot Sends Mass Spam to Members
Tue August 1, 2017
The American Brush Manufacturers Association announced today that it has installed a new, extra layer of security in its submissions forms after earlier in the same day a bot was found to have sent mass spam email to ABMA member companies.
The association's webmasters, Pure Imagination installed additional checks on the form. Google's reCaptcha has been added to the form to prevent bots from automating contact form submissions.
The association apologizes for any inconvenience and wishes to thank the members for so promptly bringing this matter to the attention of ABMA HQ, so it could be dealt with in a timely fashion.
